As a strong believer in the concept of life-long learning in the teaching profession, I am actively aware that my learning as a teacher has only begun. I wish to engage in subject-related continual development to further my knowledge and competencies in areas of practice such as textiles and animation in order to provide students with the opportunity to trial new and exciting media processes and develop a wider artistic skillset. I seek every opportunity to upskill and evolve my practice by attending workshops, courses, art galleries, events, artist talks and seminars to keep up-to-date with the contemporary art world. ​ As I begin my journey as a newly emerging professional, I am looking forward to engaging with the COSÁN framework through my completion of the Droichead process which will facilitate a professional induction into my teaching career through collaboration with established teachers and provide opportunities for me to continue to growth and strengthen not only my teaching and learning practices but also my capacity to be a reflective practitioner, in order achieve the professional growth necessary to propel my teaching practice forward.
